Review: Truly Random, a RPG app for Android | | Words In The DarkWords In The Dark

Review: Truly Random, a RPG app for Android | | Words In The DarkWords In The Dark: Truly Random RPG Die Roller released by EC Software Consulting, Inc is proving to be an invaluable asset to my group.

Its ease of use coupled with the ability to generate your own content (including specialized “dice sets”) helps to simplify the tedium of sifting through endless generation tables, rolling character specific abilities that may rarely be used (in my group, trips and charges), and so forth.

Episodic Adventures: A New Take on RPG Adventure Design?

Episodic Adventures: A New Take on RPG Adventure Design?:

Episodic Adventures are objective-based, one-shot scenarios (episodes) that are strung together to form a coherent adventure spanning multiple game sessions. The idea is largely inspired by thinking about gaming, and running an RPG campaign, like a network television series. Each adventure is akin to a show’s individual season , and as just as we watch multiple seasons of our favorite show this is similar to stringing together multiple adventures into a campaign.

Risus Supers Version 1.1

Risus Supers Version 1.1: Risus Supers attempts to provide some simple mechanics for simulating superheroes whom no one needs to take seriously, such as the characters that appeared in the old Mad Comics or Marvel's Not Brand Ecch, in humorous superhero cartoons, or creations invented by players. These additions to the basic Risus concept, although they do add a few optional rules and many superheroic Cliches, still leave the game mechanics simple enough that a player can create a character in five minutes and detail his important traits on a small index card.

Risus: The Anything RPG

Risus: The Anything RPG: Risus is a complete Role Playing Game (RPG) designed to provide an "RPG Lite" for those nights when the brain is too tired for exacting detail. Risus is especially valuable to GMs assembling a quick convention game, or any late-night beer-and-pretzels outing. While it is essentially a Universal Comedy System, it works just as well for serious play (if you insist!). Best of all, a Risus character takes about 20 seconds to create!

First, download the game! Visit the freebie page to snag a ZIP file containing Risus in Rich Text, Plain Text and PDF (Adobe Acrobat) formats. The PDF produces the nicest printout by far - it's all spiffy and typeset and whatnot.

BitLet - the BitTorrent Applet

BitLet - the BitTorrent Applet

Where can I find the torrent metafile url and how does Bitlet work?

You can go to a torrent search engine like mininova to search your desired torrent file. To download the torrent file you choose, right click on the download torrent link, copy the link location (e.g. http://www.example.org/file.torrent) and then paste it in the input box at http//www.bitlet.org/. Then you have only to click on "Download torrent" button and that's it!
If you prefer, you can use a torrent search engine that already provides a direct "download by bitlet" link, like suprnova or gameupdates.
